Pleased to say this week’s blog features a very early piece ,written well over 20 years ago ,but published in 2014…’There’s a Party at My House’ was a combination of many things : a tribute to Randy Newman ( I stole the title from one of his songs on the wonderful ‘Trouble in Paradise’ album-see link attached-he remains one of the greatest American songwriters and in essence his songs qualify as wonderful short stories too ),a clear indication that I was still obsessed with Orton, Pinter and Ionesco, and representation of an early attempt at devising an absurdist/fairy tale type format which I’ve developed latterly in my short stories…Hope you enjoy !... Still available in all formats...
